Marina Abramović: Reverberations

This series began as an attempt to create a slow-motion photograph of a slow-motion practice. While observing and reworking a walking exercise led by Marina Abramović, an artist whose work has long been a source of inspiration, I became interested in the ways duration could be translated into a still image.

Using motion blur and other in-camera interventions, the photographs gradually transformed from documentation into something more fluid and uncertain. Existing between portrait and apparition, the resulting images explore the ways time, movement, and perception can reshape the photographic image.
