Glitch Art

Glitch Art is an ongoing series of photographs exploring the entropy of digital media. Through the manipulation and corruption of high-definition television broadcast signals, I force commercials, talk shows, and films to break form at precise moments, disrupting their intended messages and capturing the painterly beauty of their collapse. Each photograph is taken at the moment of disintegration.

Existing at the intersection of glitch art, generative processes, and photography, these images are created by disrupting systems designed to deliver a seamless, polished version of reality. As the signals fail and the images collapse, unexpected forms emerge and familiar narratives become unstable.

Rather than treating technological failure as an error to be corrected, this work embraces breakdown and imperfection as a creative force. Within the chaos of corrupted data, new forms, unexpected relationships, and fleeting moments of beauty reveal themselves in the final image.
