The Mythic Feminine
2009 - Present
The mythic feminine in her many forms has long been a recurring presence in my work. Through this archetype, I explore themes of female power, sexuality, survival, rebellion, and transformation.
These figures also appear throughout other bodies of my work where they emerge as death goddesses, witches, saints, sirens, and manifestations of the divine feminine. Rather than conforming to traditional ideals of beauty or femininity, they occupy liminal spaces shaped by contradictions.
She serves as both symbol and archetype. She appears in many forms from witch and heretic, to gorgon, mourner, and goddess. It’s her shifts between beauty and terror, creation and destruction, vulnerability and strength that I am fascinated by.
