The Witches

The dark feminine in her many forms has long been a recurring presence in my work. Through this archetype, I explore themes of female power, sexuality, survival, rebellion, and transformation.

These figures also appear throughout other bodies of my work where they emerge as reflections of death goddesses, witches, saints, sirens, and manifestations of the divine feminine. Rather than conforming to traditional ideals of beauty or femininity, they occupy liminal spaces shaped by contradictions.

The witch serves as both symbol and archetype. She appears in many form from witch and heretic, to gorgon, mourner, and goddess. It’s her shifts between beauty and terror, creation and destruction, vulnerability and strength that I am fascinated by.

In these images, the dark feminine is a means of exploring the shadow aspects of existence, including mortality, decay, desire, and revenge. She remains a recurring figure in my work because she resists one definition.
